This is what I woke up to this morning!  Luckily the tree did not fall on the house!  But we did lose a tree from our beautiful backyard!

Lately...

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  I have been super busy with school and applying for jobs and working at the UOP that I barely have time to breathe!  I probably should be doing something else other than writing this now too, but I need a little break!

So here goes the update...

Last weekend Adam and Steph got to move into their new townhouse what is super exciting since they have been waiting to move since November!  Luckily, I had some time Saturday morning so I went down and babysat Micah so they could get more moving done without having to worry about what Micah was doing.  He went with me to Target and DownEast and fell asleep in the car, he took a SUPER short nap and then he wanted to get in this dump truck like this and have me push him around...  It was so cute and I wish I had more time to go hang out with him (and Adam and Steph...)

All last week there was a terrible inversion which makes the air quality terrible!  At one point I walked out of school and I could literally taste the air!  It was so gross.  So it started to get stormy on Friday and it felt like Salt Lake had turned into San Franscisco because it was so foggy!  The fog changed to rain on Saturday and the rain changed to snow today... Not just a little bit of snow but more snow than we've seen in a while, which is great for the mountains but not so good for driving...

Our Street it was so foggy I could see maybe 20 yards in front of my car!  Scary to drive in...

It has been so warm lately I think our backyard thought it was spring in January!  Some new little clovers that are covered in snow now!

My dad turned 50 on Friday!  I am so glad that he is happy and healthy!   That also means that my birthday is soon (our birthdays are 10 days apart)...  One week from tomorrow I will be 24, and Cassie will be back from Europe!

Scrapbooking

Today I finished scrapbooking all the pictures that I printed a while ago!  Now I just need to go pick up the 100 pictures I had printed at Costco, and then I will be done with 2008!  I hope that I can get caught up soon (so Steph and I can go to Tempenyaki!)

Patricia Ann Gates

Today would have been my grandma's 68th birthday.  Instead it marks the beginning of the 10th year since she passed away.  I cannot begin to explain what a loss that was in my life, as her first grandchild I was spoiled because I got to know her more than any of the other grandchildren and I like to think that I was the favorite.  She was such an amazing women willing to give anything to her children and grandchildren, and I cannot explain how much I miss her, especially now that I am older and place more value on family.

I know that she is watching over each member of our family and helping us along the way.  I hope that she is proud of me and all the things I have done with my life...
